WELLNET at the Wellington Hospital
Welcome to WELLNET, the Neuroendocrine Tumour Unit based at The Wellington Hospital.
In 2013, The Wellington Hospital received over 100 Neuroendocrine Tumour (NET) cases prompting a growing need for a dedicated unit which focuses on this specialist area. As a result of this growth The Wellington have developed WELLNET, a state-of-the-art unit offering private care to the UK and internationally.
WELLNET is led by Professor Martyn Caplin, who has a vast experience in neuroendocrine tumours and an international reputation for the management of neuroendocrine tumour patients. The centre is ideally placed to utilise the range of facilities and specialist doctors at The Wellington Hospital, helping to unite the different types of treatments under one roof.
The unit is structured as part of a multi-disciplinary team network, which combines leading NETs specialists’ expertise to guarantee, each patient diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour, receives a high level of support when managing their condition and making decisions about their treatment pathway.
